Online shopping site of the week: JewelMint (http://www.jewelmint.com/)
Celebrities are seen as the epitome of glamour and fashion. Who wouldn't want to look as stylish as the people with access to the latest designer products and the physical features to make clothes their own? That might not be as hard as you think thanks to sites like JewelMint.
Actress Kate Bosworth (Lois Lane in "Superman Returns") and celebrity stylist Cher Coulter launched this little venture in 2010. The goal was to create a line of affordable designer jewelry entirely. Bosworth and Coulter designed all the products available on the site, so you know the selection is as chic as can be.
The site does its best to customize itself to your style needs. You create a profile, get recommendations based off the information you provide and then are let loose to shop until you drop.
Most of the items in stock are only made in limited quantities, so if you like something, you better hurry up and grab it before it's gone. You'll find a variety of bracelets, rings, pins, and earrings that look like something straight off of a Hollywood starlet's wardrobe.
In fact, most of the items on JewelMint have been worn by celebrities like Elizabeth Olsen, Sienna Miller, Emmanuelle Chriqui and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. Well, not directly, but is fun to know you and Rachel Bilson have a similar fashion sense.
The site even brings in celebrity philanthropists to endorse products and give the proceeds they earn to a charity. This week's celebrity curator was Krysten Ritter of "Don't trust the B--- In Apartment 23," who is giving 50 percent of the profits from Bermuda earrings to Autism Speaks.
All products on JewelMint sell for $29.99.
