Elizabeth Guess' 18th minute unassisted goal was all the defending USL W-League champion Atlanta Silverbacks needed to defeat the Charlotte Lady Eagles 1-0 Friday in their final regular season home game at Atlanta Silverbacks Park.
The Eagles lead the Eastern Conference - Southeast Division standings at 7-1-2 with 23 points, while the Silverbacks are in second at 7-0-1 with 22.
Both teams next face the expansion Central SC Cobras -- Atlanta this Saturday, Charlotte July 7.
