In this haunting story about paranoia and escape Elizabeth Olsen portrays the girl with many names. After two years in a sect she runs back to her sister where she tries to forget her past.
The film don't follow a classic linear telling. Instead it tells two stories, in parallel. One is that of M with her sister. The other tells about the time in the sect and what made her flee. At the same time her paranoia, of being followed, increases the further the story goes.
It's a really clever story… and especially the telling in it. Elizabeth does an amazing job playing Martha, Marcy May and Marlene.
