Republican U.S. Senate candidate calls on incumbent to put obstructionism aside and allow a vote on repeal
(ORANGE COUNTY, CA) – Republican U.S. Senate candidate Elizabeth Emken today called on Sen. Dianne Feinstein and Senate leaders to allow a vote on repealing the deeply unpopular Obamacare legislation.
"Californians are tired of gridlock and inaction in Washington. Senate Democrats have allowed over three years to go by without passing a budget. Now, as the House is debating and acting on Obamacare, Dianne Feinstein and the Senate leadership is once again throwing sand in the gears by preventing a debate and vote on the unpopular measure," said Emken.
"I don't expect Dianne Feinstein to change her ideological devotion to the big government takeover of health care that Obamacare represents. But she should put obstructionism aside and at least support taking a vote and acting – one way or another – on the House repeal legislation."
