The Last Us Us has been hailed as Playstation’s last truly great game. The Last of Us was released earlier this year to world wide recognition as an amazing game. The survival game is a special one, mirrored by it selling millions of copies.
Sony is not one to miss out on capitalizing on such a big thing, and it has now been revealed that Sony have registered domains for a potential movie version of The Last of Us. This may be sensible housekeeping of course, though logistically you would have thought Sony would have planned further ahead in the games inception if this were the case. As it is, Sony’s brand protection agency, MarkMonitor, has officially registered TheLastOfUs-Movie.com and TheLastOfUsMovie.net.
With zombie popularity never slowing down with franchises like The Walking Dead soaring, don’t be surprised to see Sony capitalize on the hype and bring the world famous game to the big screen. One of Sony’s most profitable movie franchises has been the Resident Evil films, the last of which is planned for next September. Might The Last Of Us be taking its place as a gem in the Sony movie crown the year after?
